Creativity that makes a difference: Creativeworld exhibitors donate new products to children in Frankfurt

Around 100 Creativeworld exhibitors donated their products to the Frankfurt Children’s Office. Instead of being disposed of, these creative materials will go directly to children and youth centres in and around Frankfurt. The fundraising campaign, supported by Messe Frankfurt, has now been held for the 15th time.

Once again this year, the exhibitors at Creativeworld have demonstrated their commitment to social responsibility: a third of the exhibiting companies took part in the fundraising campaign and provided the Frankfurt Children’s Office with a wide range of creative materials free of charge. The products originate from the portfolios showcased at the international trade fair for hobby, craft and artists’ supplies and are distributed by the Children’s Office to numerous institutions across the city, where they are used directly in educational settings.

Many of the resulting works will later be presented as part of the “KinderArt!” project at the Frankfurt Children’s Office and online at kinderbuero-frankfurt.de. “Creative activities are a vital part of children’s development,” explains Madeleine Michaelis from the Frankfurt Children’s Office. “Thanks to the donations from Creativeworld exhibitors, we are able to give many children access to high-quality materials that would otherwise be out of reach.”

The range of donated products spans from paints, brushes and canvases to pens, paper, craft kits and modelling materials. “When we see what children create with these materials, it becomes clear what this is really about: giving them real opportunities to try things out and discover their own creative expression,” says Stefan Schopp, Director Creativeworld. “The fact that so many exhibitors take part is no coincidence – it shows just how much responsibility our industry is willing to take.”
