SolarFast is a true dye that is also great for painting, tie dyeing, screen printing, stamping, batik and more. Pearl Ex
Pearl Ex Powdered Pigments are our most versatile product yet! Mix Pearl Ex into any viscous medium for a metallic/pearlescent effect. Pearl Ex is a safe, inert pigment that exhibits extreme colorfastness and stability, ideal for interior, fashion, fine arts and other archival applications. It has a use for every artist, from watercolorist to calligrapher, resin caster to rubber stamper. Try it mixed with Gum Arabic, glue or acrylic gel medium, or mixed into one of Jacquard’s colorless extenders for use on fabric. It can also be mixed with oils, acrylics, encaustics, cold waxes, polymer clays, printing inks, resins, or spread dry on porous surfaces. Pearl Ex creates a metallic effect without being a real metal—it will never tarnish or fade. The different particle sizes produce different effects, from a smooth pearly luster, to a highly metallic sheen.

Cyanotype
Cyanotype is an antique photographic process distinctive for producing Prussian blue monochromatic prints. Developed in the mid-19th century, cyanotype was quickly embraced as an inexpensive method for reproducing photographs, documents, maps and plans (hence the enduring architectural term “blueprint”). Famously, it was also used by Ana Atkins and other field biologists for indexing plant specimens—the first photograms ever made! Cyanotype is a remarkably simple process that employs two inexpensive chemicals and sunlight/UV.
Jacquard now offers an entire line of Cyanotype products! Cyanotype is the original sun-printing process. It’s been around since the earliest days of photography. It’s easy, it’s magical, and the results are almost always stunning. Jacquard offers pretreated cyanotype fabrics, a DIY chemistry set and a class pack—a total of five different ways to experience Cyanotype. Great for photographers, mixed media artists, printmakers, quilters, kids and more! A great group activity for any age. We have also created a support website that makes it easy to creative photographic Cyanotype prints: www.jacquardcyanotype.com.
Fabric/Fiber/Surfaces:
Prints can be made on any natural surface, including cotton, linen, silk, canvas, wool, paper, wood and leather.

iDye For Natural Fabrics:
Dyeing has never been easier than with iDye from Jacquard! iDye comes in a dissolvable packet, so there are never any messy powders to handle: simply drop the packet into hot water or toss it in your washer with your fabric! iDye is a hot water dye for any natural fabric that may be used on the stovetop or in the washing machine, ideal for recharging faded favorites or adding flair to any garment.
iDye Poly:
iDye Poly is for synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon. It even works on plastic and acrylic—buttons, frisbee discs, 3D printed objects, dolls and more! The dye comes in a dissolvable packet, so there are never any messy powders to handle: simply drop the packet in a pot of water, add your fabric and bring to a boil!
For blended fabrics that contain both synthetic and natural fibers, use iDye for Natural Fabrics with the corresponding iDye Poly color, AT THE SAME TIME! Or, for more interesting, two-tone, heather effects, try pairing two different colors. iDye Poly may also be used for sublimation printing techniques and to dye the polyester threads that are used to sew commercially manufactured garments.
