Olino Paperworks started importing this paper from Thailand many years (27!) ago. It is made from the bark of the Mulberry tree, which can be peeled off after the rainy season. The bark grows back and can be harvested after some time. Thus, no trees are cut down for this paper. It is acid-free and is decorated with real flowers, fibers or printed. It can be used for many different purposes. Our supplier makes a lot of new variations: mulberry paper mixed with gampi fibers, mulberry paper mixed with the remnants of corn fields or coffee grounds! These last 2 variants are a good example of how we can recycle or re-use left-overs into a very beautiful and environmentally friendly sheet of paper.
