Creative Impulse Award 2019: be in it to win it!

Do you have a great new creative product, tool, kit or book in your range? Then why not enter for the Creative Impulse Award, which is being sponsored by Creativeworld, in conjunction with the bit-Verlag publishing house. The closing date for entries is 23 November.

The Creative Impulse Award is the most important award for hobby, craft and artist supplies. Manufacturers from the creative sector, who will be exhibiting at the leading international trade fairs Christmasworld and Paperworld, in Frankfurt am Main from 26 to 29 January 2019, can register their entries for the award at “For me, the Creative Impulse Award is the best proof of the huge innovative strengths that exist within this sector,” says Michael Reichhold, Creativeworld Director at Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH. “The incredible profusion of new products and tools that are submitted every year present the specialist panel of adjudicators with an enormously challenging task when they meet in January.”

The adjudicating panel, which consists of international experts from the retail sector, industry and the media, will be examining all the entries in Frankfurt am Main at the beginning of January. There will be much painting, cutting, making things, stamping things and reading, until the members of the panel have agreed the three winners in the following categories: ‘Creative product of the year’, ‘Creative tool of the year’, ‘Kit of the year’ and ‘Creative book of the year.

Beate Winkler, who, together with Heindesign, won the ‘Best tool’ award in 2018, says of her success: “I was already aware, during the show, of a fantastic response on social media and particularly from abroad. A wave of interest that has continued up to the present. I am delighted to say that I have signed up for other exhibitions and events as a result, both inside and outside Germany. And I have recently even had some more requests of this kind from the USA. That would have been unthinkable if it had not been for the award.”

Markus Baumgart, Head of Sales and Marketing at H. Schmincke & Co. also emphasises the impact of the award in the media: “It proved to be excellent publicity for our company. Not only for the product that won, but for the innovative strength of our company as a whole. We are very happy that we took part and are grateful to have been awarded first prize in the category for the ‘Product of the year 2018’.

The formal award ceremony will take place on 26 January 2019 in the Creativeworld Forum (Hall 4.2, Stand F90). Additionally, all the entries will be on display, during the show, in the dedicated Creative Impulse section (Hall 4.2, Stand B90). That way, trade visitors will get a condensed overview of the innovations in the sector. And there is also an accompanying brochure in two languages, which will be available at the show, free of charge.

Creativeworld takes place from 26 to 29 January 2019.
